Frequently-Asked-Questions (FAQs)

I start with the FAQs first because many clients who contact me ask these same questions. So, here I address them pre-emptively. At any time, if you have further or different questions, you can click the WhatsApp button at bottom-right and message me.

What types of services do you guys provide?

Firstly, there are no "you guys". I'm a one-man-operation. The services I provide are:
⦿ I develop web sites (web site developer).
⦿ I develop mobile apps for both platforms (iOS and Android).
⦿ I develop custom management systems for any industry.

How much is a Website?

The average market cost for a corporate website (at least per my observation) is about $2,000. This is a rough guide. The actual cost depends on what features you want in the website. It can be lower or higher, but from my experience, it hovers around this figure.

How big is your team?

Just me. I'm a one-man-operation.

How long have you been doing this?

I've been in this IT line since 1995. That is about 30 years. Started of as a web designer and have evolved to multiple roles and labels over the years.

So, you customise systems, right?

"Customise" is the wrong word to use. The very-popular practice in the market is:
⦿ Take an existing ready-made solution.
⦿ Customise it to a client's needs.

I used to do such things before. And then, at one stage, I stopped. I do not customise a ready-made system for your needs. I build a new System from the ground up. That means I build a Custom System for your exact business needs.

The usual analogy I give is ready-made shirts vs tailor-made shirts.
You can buy a ready-made shirt off the shelf and customise it a bit. OR ...
You can tailor-make a shirt to your exact measurements.
Both ways have their pros and cons.

I have seen and also heard from clients about the negative aspects of customised systems. And thus I provide a niche service of custom systems instead. By this way, my clients get the exact features that they want, with no overkill bloated features. Also, they do not face an issue where a special feature which they want cannot be implemented due to limitations of the ready-made system.

I have a WordPress problem

Other ways to describe this same related issue:
⦿ I have an existing site. JUST need to fix this ONE issue.
⦿ My site is showing errors. Need someone to help me fix it.
⦿ My current programmer/developer has run away / not contactable / has moved on.

Ok, so how to resolve such an issue now?
Only for new projects, I can give a cost upfront, for your consideration. For existing websites, which are primarily going to be WordPress, from what I noticed, the only way to resolve this is: to go about it in a hourly-rated way.
If you are okay with that, do contact me, and I'll advise further.

Highly recommend his services to anyone out there who requires a good programmer and a trustworthy person

I had and am still having an excellent experience working with Anees Khan from Getcha Solutions. My previous programmer had left our website in a lurch and everyone just wanted us to create a whole new website. Khan single-handedly took on our existing system and fixed each bug, cleaning up our system so everything is running smoothly again. I am very thankful that I managed to engage his services, and I’ll highly recommend his services to anyone out there who requires a good programmer and a trustworthy person to work with!

No, AI is NOT a Skill. It’s Just a Tool.

Just Like a Blender in the Hands of a Michelin Chef. Knowing how to prompt ChatGPT doesn’t make you a genius any more than owning a spatula makes you Gordon Ramsay. Welcome to the AI Circus Let me guess. You just used ChatGPT to write an email, whip up a logo, or create a “business plan” that says, and I quote, “Sell things. Make money.” And now you’re out here declaring yourself a tech wizard? Let me stop you right there, Ironman.

AI Coding Assistant Tells Developer: “Go Write It Yourself!”

I knew it. I knew it was coming. But didn’t expect it so soon. Robots will soon mimic humans, not just in work, but in attitude too. And it has happened. Well, at least once. But of course, great things typically start off as once, right?

How I Built a Deposit Collection System

As a freelance web and mobile app developer, I’ve built many custom systems over the years, but one of my recent projects — a deposit collection system — really got me thinking about how businesses handle payments. More importantly, it made me realize how much businesses struggle with securing deposits efficiently.

The Ultimate No-Code Guide: Add a WhatsApp Button to Your Website in 3 Simple Steps.

Imagine this: A potential customer visits your website, likes what they see, and wants to ask a simple question before making a purchase. But instead of an easy contact option, they find an email form (ugh, who even checks emails anymore?) or a phone number they have to manually dial (too much effort!). So, they leave. Forever. Ouch.

What is an API?

A Singaporean Developer’s Perspective. If you’ve ever wondered how apps, websites, or systems magically talk to each other, congratulations — you’ve just stumbled into the nerdy world of APIs. Don’t worry, I’m here to hold your hand through this digital jungle. Before you start imagining APIs as a secret society of programmers in black hoodies, let me clear that up. No, it’s not like Hogwarts for geeks (though that would be cool). API stands for Application Programming Interface. Still confused? Thought so. Let me break it down.

Not the One You Eat! If you’ve ever browsed the web and wondered, “Why does this site seem to know me better than my best friend?” — you’ve just met cookies.
